At handpicked306, community has always been at the heart of our boutique. As families across Carlyle, Arcola, Redvers, Oxbow, and our rural prairies navigate rising groceries, heating bills, and living expenses, clothing can become an overwhelming financial strain.
Kids grow out of winter boots and parkas in a single season. Parents sacrifice their own clothing needs to keep their children dressed. Life shifts happen fast. Handpicked with Care exists to ensure that every neighbor has access to high-quality, clean, dignified clothing — completely free of charge.
We do not ask for tax documents, pay stubs, or explanations. If you are having a difficult month, please take what you need. Our store is a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free home for our entire community.

How Items Enter Handpicked with Care
We combine boutique consignor transfers, store buyouts, and direct community donations into a curated, dignified pipeline.
Consignor Transfers & Store Buyouts
When boutique consignor items reach the end of their consignment period, consignors can choose to transfer them to Care. Handpicked 306 credits the consignor directly or buys out garments, routing high-quality boutique apparel straight to community Care packages and outreach.
Direct Community Donations
Generous neighbors, families, and local partners bring clean, gently loved seasonal outerwear, boots, and clothing directly to our counter. Our strict 1-bag limit ensures every single piece receives personal attention.
Inspected, Steamed & Tagged
Nothing is dumped into messy cardboard bins. Every garment is quality-checked, sanitized, professionally steamed, sized, and staged and packed with an official Handpicked with Care label.

In-Person Counter Registration
Visit our boutique during regular hours at 103 Turriff Ave W in Carlyle. Speak with our counter staff in complete confidence to register your sizes and request immediate emergency wardrobe bundles.
Confidential Requisitions
Need specific children’s sizes, winter outerwear, or family bundles? Fill out our private online form. Our staff handpicks and packs your items in a standard boutique bag with a secret pickup code.
How You Can Donate Clothing Directly
We gratefully accept direct clothing contributions from the community. Because we treat every item with boutique dignity, we ask all donors to follow our drop-off guidelines.
Standard: 1 Clean Bag Per Visit
Why do we have a 1-bag limit?
Unlike bulk thrift warehouses that bale clothes or toss them into landfill piles, every single item donated to Handpicked with Care is personally inspected, sanitized, professionally steamed, sized, and hung with an official Care barcode.
Limiting standard drop-offs to one clean bag per visit allows our team to maintain this high boutique standard without overwhelming storage space, ensuring quick turnaround into staged care packages. Have a larger clothing drive or whole-household seasonal donation? We gladly accept larger volumes whenever previous arrangements have been made with our counter team in advance.
Drop-Off Hours & Location
Where: Bring your bag directly to the boutique front counter during open shop hours.
Please do not leave bags outdoors or after hours. Bags left outside are exposed to prairie weather and will have to be discarded.
Security Note: Front counter drop-offs are camera monitored to ensure program integrity and safety.

Help Fund the Care Initiative
While our clothing comes from generous donations and consignor transfers, funding is required to pay consignors buyouts, purchase brand-new packaged socks and underwear, and cover packaging and tags.
Community Neighbor
Funds boutique packaging, tagging, and buys out 15–25 quality tops or kids garments for Care packages.
Wardrobe Supporter
Completely outfits a local family with seasonal winter coats, boots, and warm layers, or funds 50+ item buyouts.
Seasonal Outreach Patron
Keeps community Care packages continuously stocked and staged for families in need. Includes in-store recognition plaque.
Corporate Champion
Anchors seasonal winter outerwear drives, covers school requisitions, and funds 500+ free garments for the region.
